The following is the real-life story of Shea, a S-Gap patient.
September 2, 2006
Dear Dr. Allen,
I wanted to thank you so very, very much along with your wonderful,
kind, and compassionate staff during my surgery, which you handled
so miraculously. You are amazing. Not only was this surgery complicated,
you were very reassuring and had a very calming presence.
I am so grateful for your help. - And yes, I am making it my number
one priority making sure I am eating nutritious foods. Both my friend
(nurse Linda) and I think you're terrific. I am continuing to take
things slowly. I've been walking, reading, and best of all enjoying
the company of my daughter. I missed her a lot and it was great
to see her beautiful face again.
It was also a pleasure to meet Dr. Kline and I just adored Dr.
Baker! :-)
I will be meeting with my surgeon back home and Dr. Kaufman will
hopefully be able to remove the rest of the stitches and check out
my drains.
What a wonderful alternative you've given to women making them
feel good and whole again. Of course, that feeling has to come from
within, but knowing there's a chance of having breasts that feel
natural once again is icing on the cake.
Thank you again for everything... your expertise knowledge on the
subject matter.. And especially your kind and compassionate heart.
If there is a chance that I can help someone decide upon this alternative
for breast reconstruction (and it's a big decision!) please don't
hesitate to pass my name along to someone else who could use the
support of someone who's already been there.
With warmest regards,
Shea
